Dr. Danah Kaigler speaking on stage to a live audience

Author · Speaker · Counselor

You Are KEPT.

Not kept from hardship. Kept through it — and kept for something.

Dr. Danah Kaigler helps women, caregivers, and leaders walk through grief, loss, and uncertainty without being destroyed by it.

Does this sound like you?

Survival doesn't always look like survival.

You look calm on the outside, but inside you are surviving day by day.

You are caring for a parent or loved one while grieving the person they used to be.

You are educated and accomplished, yet quietly wondering how to pay the next bill.

Your plans keep getting interrupted, and you're asking, “Now what?”

You've heard every church platitude, but no one is talking about the weight you carry.

You're exhausted from holding everyone else together with no one holding you.

If you're carrying more than anyone in the room could possibly know — you're not alone, and this isn't the end of your story. It may be preparation.

Meet Danah

I have lived what I am called to help others walk through.

While earning a PhD in Human Services Counseling and Psychological Studies, Danah became her father's advocate through dementia, guardianship, and long drives between Virginia and Georgia. She lost her job, lost her grandmother, and graduated anyway.

Today she brings both professional expertise and lived experience to families, churches, and organizations navigating caregiving, grief, and transition.

The Signature Framework

The KEPT Framework

Four practices that carried Danah through the hardest seasons of her life.

K

Know

Know what you are feeling. Healing begins with honesty. Name it without shame. You cannot move through what you refuse to acknowledge.

E

Engage

Engage your support. Asking for help is not weakness. Sometimes being kept looks like allowing God to use other people to hold you up.

P

Press

Press forward. Ask, “What is the next right thing I can do?” Small progress is still progress.

T

Trust

Trust God. Faith did not eliminate my grief. Faith gave me somewhere to put my grief.

"Being KEPT means you can go through something without being destroyed by it."
